US and Canadian safety authorities have recalled INMO AIR3 smart glasses because the left temple can overheat during extended use. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission tells owners to stop using the glasses immediately and contact INMO for a free repair. That repair is an online update to firmware version V3.16.
The recall covers about 1,643 pairs sold in the US and 120 in Canada. Affected glasses are black and have "AIR3" and "INMO" on a label inside the right temple. They were sold from December 2025 through August 2026. The label matters more than the purchase channel: the US notice lists Amazon, INMO's site, and Kickstarter.
What the incident numbers mean
INMO reported 10 US overheating incidents to the CPSC. Some people described a burning sensation on their face or left ear. Health Canada also reports 10 US incidents, with no reported injuries, and says it had received no Canadian incident reports as of September 17. These are the same 10 US incidents, not separate sets.
The recall notice names a firmware repair. It does not offer a refund or a replacement. A buyer considering a used AIR3 should check that the seller has completed the update before use.
