Payday: Aces High will open a free playtest on October 19 for Quest and SteamVR players, according to UploadVR. The VR heist game is due to launch later in 2026. This test offers two heists, compared with the six UploadVR says are planned for release.
Quest players can register for the playtest build through Meta's release channel. Players who joined the August closed test need to register again for October. The signup page may ask you to sign in to your Meta account.
Steam players will get a public demo on the game's Steam page. The current store art says "Demo releases Oct 19." Adding the game to a Steam wishlist can provide a notification when it becomes available. The store lists a fourth-quarter 2026 launch for the full game, with up to four players in online co-op.
UploadVR reports that playtest participants will receive an in-game Kitty Mask. Fast Travel Games has not listed the demo's end date on its Steam store page. Check the store or release channel again before October 19 for download instructions and timing.
