Unseen Reality's URXR One Kickstarter closed at $1,288,712, according to UploadVR. The 93-gram glasses are due to ship to backers in October 2026. At launch, their main job is to put a virtual screen in front of someone using a compatible laptop, handheld, or phone. SteamVR support is planned for later.
The glasses cost $999 for new buyers, with shipping planned for November. A phone setup also needs the $69 Power Hub, which Unseen Reality says will ship in December. That puts the stated starting cost of the phone setup at $1,068, before any other costs.
A virtual monitor first
URXR One takes video from a device with USB-C DisplayPort output and displays it as a positionally tracked virtual monitor. UploadVR says the glasses accept a 2560 × 1440 signal at 90Hz. Windows and Mac software can add multiple virtual monitors and hand controls for placing them in space.
The glasses use two 2448 × 2064 micro-OLED displays and pancake lenses. Their reported field of view is 80 degrees horizontally and 56 degrees vertically, or roughly 90 degrees diagonally. Cameras show the surrounding room through passthrough video. A GravityXR chip handles head and hand tracking, while the connected device supplies the content. The glasses have no onboard battery.
What to watch next
Unseen Reality says it will start shipping to backers in October and new buyers in November. The most useful follow-up is a report from a delivered unit that tests DisplayPort compatibility, virtual monitor stability, comfort, and passthrough quality over a full session. PC VR support needs its own test when software becomes available.
