Enhance says Tetris Effect: Mixed Realities will arrive in 2027 for Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Meta VR Glasses. Monstars and Resonair are developing a new game that uses hand tracking and passthrough to turn the player's room into part of the board and background. Enhance describes an aquarium and a space station among its planned settings.
The word "new" matters for people who already own Tetris Effect: Connected. Enhance calls Mixed Realities an all-new title. It has not announced an upgrade, a shared purchase, or a transfer of progress from Connected. The Meta store listing has a wishlist button but no price or release day.
Enhance's announcement names Quest 3 and 3S alongside Meta VR Glasses. It does not list Quest 2. The game's use of passthrough and room geometry could make the size and layout of a room important, but the publisher has not described a minimum space or shown how the game adapts to a cramped room.
Hand tracking raises a more direct play question. Tetris depends on placing pieces precisely as they fall. Enhance has confirmed hand-tracked input, but has not demonstrated how a player rotates, moves, and drops pieces at speed. A hands-on demo will tell more about that than the announcement art can.
