VR developers put Steam's Autumn Sale window at October 1 to 8 before Valve posted a sale announcement in its Steam-wide news feed, according to MIXED's report. Two studios named those dates. A third announced its own discount without giving a window.
For buyers, the clearest deadline comes from Devs United Games. Its Real VR Fishing post says the game and all its DLC receive 30% off through October 8 at 10 AM Pacific.
What the studios announced
Vigo Creative posted first, on September 28. Its Wild West Panic announcement named October 1 to 8 as the Steam Autumn Sale dates, three days before the reported opening day.
Size Does Matter followed at 23:13 UTC on September 30. It described the sale as live and announced 50% off sYs - Save Your Soul. That wording arrived about 18 hours before the start time given in the later Real VR Fishing post.
Devs United Games posted at 09:27 UTC on October 1. Of the three announcements, its post was the only one to give a time of day alongside the dates.
MIXED checked Valve's Steam-wide events feed at 14:43 UTC on October 1 and found no Autumn Sale post. That establishes what the feed showed at that time. Buyers reading on October 2 should use the individual store listings to check the offers now.
The price check came before the start
At the same October 1 check, MIXED found US prices of $19.99 for Real VR Fishing, $10.99 for sYs - Save Your Soul and $9.99 for Wild West Panic. All three showed a 0% discount. The check happened a little over two hours before the reported 10 AM Pacific start, so those figures describe the store before the offers were due to begin.
