Verdict · buy it if, skip it if
Beyond 2 is our locked ultralight / long-session winner: about 115 g, custom-fitted for your face, micro-OLED contrast, and owners praising edge-to-edge clarity in a tiny shell.
It is still pure PCVR. There is no standalone library, no Quest-style wireless use, and lighthouse tracking is part of the setup. Do not buy it if you lack a strong gaming PC, hate base stations, or want a grab-and-go headset for friends. Glare reports are mixed. Choose it when comfort weight and OLED blacks matter more than a built-in store, and you are fine with face-scan fit and a tethered SteamVR setup.
Who it is forPCVR players who want a tiny, light micro-OLED headset for long sessions and already have a strong PC plus SteamVR lighthouse gear.

"BSB2 did not disappoint on that front. I have almost perfect edge to edge clarity. Minimal warping. The glare is still there, slightly less though, but I got used to this from using BSB1 that I don't really notice it. … The sweet spot feels much larger and I could look around the cockpit in DCS using my eyes rather than turning my head."Read the thread ↗
"Field of view and edge to edge clarity are outstanding for such small lenses, I was honestly extremely pleasantly surprised here."Read the thread ↗
"Now my biggest fear… glare. Well, I’m happy to say it’s not been an issue in the slightest, at least in my limited testing so far. Happy days!"Read the thread ↗

Before you buy
It is one of the lightest high-end PCVR headsets in the catalog, and owners repeatedly call out comfort for long sessions when the fit is right.
No. There is no standalone OS or Quest-style app store. You need a capable PC and SteamVR.
Yes. Custom facial fit is core to how Beyond ships. Plan on the scan/order process rather than buying a one-size shelf unit.
Improved for some owners, still noticeable for others. Expect better lenses and sweet spot than gen 1, not zero glare.
